Oh-la-la... it's the Sexy Colors

I just had to share this article from the House Beautiful magazine. They highlighted the sexy paint colors for interiors in the July 2009 issue. These hot colors are sure to trickle into weddings!

Infuse passion into your wedding atmosphere by coupling gunmetal with a fleshy, nude pink. Edge up a beach wedding with the color of deep teal-blue water blended with bitter-sweet chocolate brown. Warm persimmon makes a dramatic backdrop for summer colors like hot pink and chartreuse.

Whether it is passion, sophistication, or warmth you desire, do it with color.... wink, wink.

Jennifer + Joshua | April 24, 2009

Meet... Jennifer and Joshua! This well-traveled couple tied the knot at their destination wedding on Clearwater Beach. Well, it was a destination for almost all of the guests, anyway! The lovebirds live just on the other side of the bridge.

After pricing a number of the ingredients for her dream wedding, Jennifer came to Adorn Studio, for creative solutions to stay in her budget without sacrificing the look she envisioned.

The venue was the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort. http://www.clearwaterbeachresort.com/

Handmade fan programs were personalized with the bride's favorite Led Zeppelin lyrics. The sunset orange and turquoise damask paper is repeated throughout the wedding decor for a cohesive look.

Knobby starfish tied with raffia and turquoise ribbon adorned the chairs lining the aisle. The raffia and ribbon swayed gently in the breeze coming off the ocean... ahhh, gorgeous!

This beautiful and tasty cake is by Chantilly Cakes. http://www.chantillycakes.com/

Wild fire orchids added drama to center tables.

The surrounding tables were decorated with vases filled with sand, seaglass, and topped with assorted starfish hand-embellished with sparkly rhinestones. For a personal touch the vases showed the couple's names and wedding dated etched in the glass.

The bride and groom selected destinations they visited together as table names. Grand Cayman is where he popped the question!

Handmade "Let's Eat!" menu cards were topped with the Clementine orange take away favor.

As a twist to the traditional guest book; branches were set in a vase to create a "wish tree" for guests to hang cards with their wishes for the bride and groom.

A dream is realized...

Please allow me to introduce myself... I'm Amanda, Design Consultant and Owner of Adorn Studio, LLC. It all began while planning my own wedding. I realized that I absolutely love every aspect of wedding design and that I quite simply cannot get enough. Even after our honeymoon I found myself perusing bridal magazines and making little files for my friend's weddings. I suppose I should have seen this coming... my aunt is a wedding coordinator in West Palm Beach, Fl. During visits we always talked about the weddings she was planning and she even let me assistant her with a wedding in South Carolina as a teenager. There is just something about that very special day in a couple's lives and all the dreams and personal style that weave into every detail. I love to help a couple navigate the many decisions they make so the entire process is stress free and memorable... in a good way.

This is "our little chapel"... it's a charming chapel hidden in a historic neighboorhood in Dunedin, Fl. http://www.andrewsmemorialchapel.com/
The architecture of this chapel, built in 1888, makes my heart happy... just look at that ceiling!
Our reception was held at Island Way Grill in Clearwater Beach, Fl. The food, atmosphere, and service was incredible. I highly recommend this venue! http://www.islandwaygrill.com/

These little goldfish are even photogenic! They actually looked at the camera... adorable!
"Love notes"... A cute and totally functional favor!
