Karen Harrison Photography

Lucky me, I had an opportunity to work with the fabulous Karen Harrison for a second time!! We started the session in a beautiful meadow on the perfect breezy day, with, get this, mini horses roaming around! Ahh- love it! The lighting, background, everything, was just gorgeous and Karen totally captured it all!
This portion of the shoot was an absolute blast AND an adventure! The incredibly cool rusty truck was in an area "guarded" by a huge hog. It wasn't until he came over to check us out (or attack us, which is what we thought at the time!) that we realized we didn't have cell phones on us and could be stranded ON the incredibly cool rusty truck for a really long time! It turns out the hog was completely friendly with a wiggly tail (international sign for friendliness, of course) and all. The photos turned out amazing and totally worth the, uh, danger.

Working with Karen is a truly wonderful experience. She is so very talented! The photo session is laid back and fun while she captures beautiful shots! Her follow up and overall customer service is second to none. Please view her website and blog to see more images. Karen Harrison Photography offers wedding and portrait photography in a photojournalistic style while mixing in modern portraiture. Serving Tampa Bay and New England and is also available for destination weddings and world-wide travel.

FEATURE VENDOR | Theresa Marie Photography

I absolutely LOVED this photo shoot with Theresa Marie!! From the instant we met she inspired me. The passion she has for her work is completely contagious! At the session she made me feel at ease since we were literally just having fun, talking, listening to her iPod and walking through downtown Safety Harbor. She would see an opportunity and take the shot. I was repeatedly blown away by how she captured an expression with the perfect backdrop.
When else do you get to sit in a chair in the middle of the sidewalk?! I mean, how much more ROCKSTAR can you get?
The designer in me looooves the architectural elements! ::sigh::
Hair and Makeup was done by Hollie. She has an incredible talent for creating a look that is just right and not too "done up". Also, she has tons of experience with print work and is a master at knowing how makeup photographs!
Love love love this shot! I found myself laughing the entire session. It was just so much fun!
Theresa Marie told me about this perfect moment when the sun casts a golden light over everything. This is that moment! Look how it just glows!

Please check out Theresa Marie's blog to see more of her gorgeous photography.

Oh-la-la... it's the Sexy Colors

I just had to share this article from the House Beautiful magazine. They highlighted the sexy paint colors for interiors in the July 2009 issue. These hot colors are sure to trickle into weddings!

Infuse passion into your wedding atmosphere by coupling gunmetal with a fleshy, nude pink. Edge up a beach wedding with the color of deep teal-blue water blended with bitter-sweet chocolate brown. Warm persimmon makes a dramatic backdrop for summer colors like hot pink and chartreuse.

Whether it is passion, sophistication, or warmth you desire, do it with color.... wink, wink.

Jennifer + Joshua | April 24, 2009

Meet... Jennifer and Joshua! This well-traveled couple tied the knot at their destination wedding on Clearwater Beach. Well, it was a destination for almost all of the guests, anyway! The lovebirds live just on the other side of the bridge.

After pricing a number of the ingredients for her dream wedding, Jennifer came to Adorn Studio, for creative solutions to stay in her budget without sacrificing the look she envisioned.

The venue was the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort. http://www.clearwaterbeachresort.com/

Handmade fan programs were personalized with the bride's favorite Led Zeppelin lyrics. The sunset orange and turquoise damask paper is repeated throughout the wedding decor for a cohesive look.

Knobby starfish tied with raffia and turquoise ribbon adorned the chairs lining the aisle. The raffia and ribbon swayed gently in the breeze coming off the ocean... ahhh, gorgeous!

This beautiful and tasty cake is by Chantilly Cakes. http://www.chantillycakes.com/

Wild fire orchids added drama to center tables.

The surrounding tables were decorated with vases filled with sand, seaglass, and topped with assorted starfish hand-embellished with sparkly rhinestones. For a personal touch the vases showed the couple's names and wedding dated etched in the glass.

The bride and groom selected destinations they visited together as table names. Grand Cayman is where he popped the question!

Handmade "Let's Eat!" menu cards were topped with the Clementine orange take away favor.

As a twist to the traditional guest book; branches were set in a vase to create a "wish tree" for guests to hang cards with their wishes for the bride and groom.

A dream is realized...

Please allow me to introduce myself... I'm Amanda, Design Consultant and Owner of Adorn Studio, LLC. It all began while planning my own wedding. I realized that I absolutely love every aspect of wedding design and that I quite simply cannot get enough. Even after our honeymoon I found myself perusing bridal magazines and making little files for my friend's weddings. I suppose I should have seen this coming... my aunt is a wedding coordinator in West Palm Beach, Fl. During visits we always talked about the weddings she was planning and she even let me assistant her with a wedding in South Carolina as a teenager. There is just something about that very special day in a couple's lives and all the dreams and personal style that weave into every detail. I love to help a couple navigate the many decisions they make so the entire process is stress free and memorable... in a good way.

This is "our little chapel"... it's a charming chapel hidden in a historic neighboorhood in Dunedin, Fl. http://www.andrewsmemorialchapel.com/
The architecture of this chapel, built in 1888, makes my heart happy... just look at that ceiling!
Our reception was held at Island Way Grill in Clearwater Beach, Fl. The food, atmosphere, and service was incredible. I highly recommend this venue! http://www.islandwaygrill.com/

These little goldfish are even photogenic! They actually looked at the camera... adorable!
"Love notes"... A cute and totally functional favor!
